I live really close to Sandy transmitter, and therefore use internal ariels to pick up freeview, I have a built in freeview Samsung Tv in my sitting room and did have a set top box and TV in my bedroom both from internal areials
Today I bought a new tv for my bedroom with built in Freeviw and can get all channels clearly great sound and picture on all channels accept I can't get BBC1 and BBC2.
Did the initial scan and then left it two hours and then did a new install - still no BBC channels!
Any thoughts?
Thanks

Are you missing ALL channels listed under Multiplex 1 here?

Stompa - yep it would appear that I have none of the channels listed in the Multiplex 1
Do you know what the solution is?
Thanks for your help so far!0 -
I have also noticed that upstairs I am using different transmitter than downstairs, even though I am only 3 miles or so from my local one, can I manually change my transmitter?0

I guess it could be an aerial problem?

Are you able to try with a different aerial?Stompa0 -
Get a refund and stear clear of the model of the product as the store may have a dodgey batch. Then buy a new one different make and model though and get a discount for your trouble:DStompa - yep it would appear that I have none of the channels listed in the Multiplex 1

I have had problems with these two channels and popped in a TV shop today and they said the signals were being messed about with re the analogue/digital thing and to do a new tune up. In my case I did this afternoon all all back to normal?A retired senior partner, in own agency, with 40 years experience in property sales & new build. The multiplex BBC1 & BBC2 are on generally transmits with the most power of all the multiplexes.
That you aren't getting them suggests that the problem is that you have too strong a signal and the box is overloading.
What you need is a Variable Attenuator0 -
The current edition of the Radio Times (p144) explains in detail why some changes to the Meridan (Rowbridge transmitter) area on 25 March means that viewers can no longer receive ITV1, ITV2, ITV3 or ITV3 until 2012 - don't know if it will affect other stations.0

We have had a Pansonic Viera with free view for about a year, we've also got a dvd recorder, again with it's own inbuilt freeview.
Like most other people, from time to time I get the little grey box informing me I need to do a scan because a new station has been found.
About three weeks ago, this happened and after, I noticed the Sky News (82) and Sky 3 (?) said No signal.
I'm assuming that's because the scan knocked it off and when I need to scan again, hopefully it will return.
Is this likely or have Sky removed themselves from Freeview? This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
