Which country are you going to? Most of the time it is cheaper to buy them abroard, but this still doesnt help if you have to start taking the tablets before you leave, maybe you could just buy a few here to get you started and get the rest of the course while you are away0

Sorry i didnt read your post properly, now i know you are off to goa, you can go to any chemist out there and pick up the tablets for a few quid, enjoy your self0

you're supposed to take them for a week before you go or else the course isn't as effective!!i always get them from boots and i wouldnt describe them as chaep but its cheaper than getting malaria believe me.if you get them and start them today thats better than waiting till you get there.have a great time its brill there ive been 6 times and im jealous now!! :beer:"You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"

Hi Malarone are by far the most expensive tablets normally and for Goa, in fact anywhere in South India, you don't need them. Proguanil and Chloroquine are fine, however, ideally you should take them for 1 week before and the big downside is that you take them for 4 weeks after. I've got 1 more week of the ba+stards to go! Have a wicked time and give me a shout if you've got any other Goan/South India questions.And if, you know, your history...0

The doxy ones you want cost pennies in Goa, I had to get some in February. I bought 150 for my next trip wherever that might be.
You will be able to walk into any chemist and get them - all sealed and legit etc.
I am THE most prone person to mossie bites (once had 200 on my legs alone
)
BUT, I was in India was 2 months and didn't get bitten once, never saw a mossie and no one I was with got bit either.
I know you will still take them for piece of mind, but it's nice to know.****************************0 -

If u like quiet beaches go to the dolphin shack at keri beach, pure paradise and u can watch the dolphins out at sea!!!
and if u like a laugh go and bath with the elephants!! hilarious!! and the waterfalls with the monkeys, oh not fair i want to be back there!!
Got excellent taxi drivers number if u need it to visit these places, very cheap to book for the whole day and take u whereever u want to go!!0
