Eygpt Hotel

Hi Folks, I was wondering has anyone been to Eygpt and stayed in a fantastic Hotel the they can reccomend. We went last year and loved the place but the Hotel was awful. No entertainment, Terrible food and full of very very rude Russians. Not all of them, but the majority were just horrible to the staff and some were even doing drugs during the day in full view of everyone. We complained a few times but nothing was done. It seemed all they wanted to do was drink vodka from the minute they got up until they could no longer stand. Please or thank you did not even enter into there vocabulary.
We would love to go again, but in a Fab hotel with decent entertainment and food. So, have any of you good folks been and stayed at a brilliant hotel? Any ideas or help will be greatly appreciated. We are looking to stay at Sharm as the diving and snorkelling is out of this world. Many thanks in advance. Starry.

Have you looked at the hotel reviews and Sharm forum on Trip Advisor?

You may find some useful info here (and other threads if you search 'sharm hotel')

not long since returned from reef oasis blue bay resort. 24 hour all inclusive, couldnt fault it. the staff without exception were so helpful and polite. food was excellent, numerous bars, pools the rooms were excellent, the only downside was the entertainment which i think is the same as most hotels in sharm, but its only a short taxi ride into naama bay.this is by far the best resort we have stayed

I stayed at the Concorde El Salam in August 2006, it's Sharm, Sharks Bay I think. It's a gorgeous hotel with gorgeous grounds, found all the staff very helpful and pleasant. Don't recall any guests being rude or annoying really although to get a sunbed you had to be about 6am but think that's the case with most places abroad! They had a nightclub, we ventured in one night and it was full of russian teenagers, the music was terrible and the drinks were very expensive so we left pretty sharpish! Can't really remember the entertainment, i'm not one for hotel entertainment anyway though.

The pools were lovely, they had about 3 or 4 I think, the rooms were very clean and ours was huge.

The food was ok, food in egypt didn't agree with me at all and I was ill a lot of the time but my ex-OH was fine and he loved all the food on offer, I don't think it's really aimed at the british though, although they did do chips and pizzas. I just remember the little mini pancakes with icing sugar on them, I lived off them for 2 weeks! :rotfl:

Aqua Blu hotel in Sharm, great pools and slides, staff are friendly, good choice of food. We were there in Feb, only let down was limited entertainment, but they may boost this in high season as there was a second outside looking theatre that was not in use.

2008 wins about £45.... but I know the big one is just round the corner....

    I stay there last year:j

I upgraded to the deluxe room, I noticed they were building rooms into the cliff face under the infinity pool in the front (facing the sea), if I go back, I'm having one of them:D

We were there a couple of years ago and went to the Sierra in Sharks Bay, it was fab, great food, nice room, great staff. The pool staff took control of the sunbeds, so no early morning fighting for a sunbed, which was just great. The only thing that wasnt so good was the alcohol, we were AI and the booze was terrible, but I think thats the same in most of the hotels - we could buy better brands if needed.
    Waddle you do eh?

We stayed at the Mirabel Park, it was lovely, saw no trouble with any of the other tourists there.
Nice slides as well for our teenagers.
