council tax - help

Ok please do not judge and go mad - am only asking a question

My mum and dad r split

they both live in diffrent houses

My brother is at the fishing sunday nights - friday nights/sat morning

My brohter live with my mum, all his mail goes there, he is on joint tennacy, pays part of the council tax etc...

Odd saturdays nights my brother goes out drinking he will have partys at my dads and stay there all ngiht - he does not give my dad any money etc or pay anyhting to me dad (sa my dad is usally at fishing or away with his partner somewhere)

my dad revieved alatter for council asking if he is the only adult living at this house

i have said eh should just call teh council and explain - that is what he is going to do

however they make my brother pay 2wice will they?

    As your brother is registered for council tax at his Mums, your Dad will be classed as the only adult at his address.

    Your brother will be on the electoral role at his Mums and not at his Dads.
