Hsbc

I have been a customer for about 12 years. My own fault really because I have never been that happy with them. Recently they have cancelled all my direct debits without asking me or contacting me. My mobile phone is not now working and as i am in the process of moving house, need to use it. Are banks entitled to stop direct debits ect without informing you. I have incurred many fines through not paying bills which used to be on DD.

If you have money in your account bank will pay D/D's.
If you don't they will not and as poster above states - 3 strikes and they will cancel them.
  • This exact thing happened to me at hsbc. I went to the branch and they were not even aware of it.They advised me to get in touch with all those I pay bills to reinstate,I did but they won't show up on my account I had to move all my dds to other banks. Now, I just use my hsbc for my wages.
