Cheapest hunt: Where is the cheapest place to buy toilet roll ("luxury" and/or thin)?

Hi all

Macro seems to stock Charmin toilet roll every now and again (in packs of 18 I think) for 23p per roll.

Can anyone get "luxury" toilet roll for less? I mean the thick, soft(ish) stuff - not the shiny whooops-I've-put-my-finger-through-it type.

Additionally, what is the cheapest, cheap, thin toilet roll?

I've had Tesco Value for things that don't require softness..... and that's about 10p per roll.

Can you do better?

I can't remember the exact price but i was in that Bodycare shop not long back and they had fancy loo roll a lot cheaper than morrison's own brand ordinary stuff.

Poundland you can get a pack of 8(for £1, funnily enough!)
Owing to financial constraints, the light at the end of the tunnel has been switched off until further notice. :(

I buy Florarlys (I think its called) recycled tr from LIDL. Its £1.21 for 12 rolls. I think its great value and good for the environment too. Even if yu do use a bit more cos the rolls are smaller it still works out at great value when compared with the luxury stuff. Its soft enough for my daughter too who previously wouldn't consider anything less than supermarket's own luxury type! Because its not bleached much it does look a bit naff on the holder but I don't care cos it save me loads. :T A great find for me.

Home Bargains often have 12 packs of decent stuff for about £2.50 - 2.99.

I usually use the lidl Floralys as ksh13, (10 for £1.20 give or take ten p), although it does smell a bit funny.

The Best is Definitely the £1.00 Nicky stuff, it is just like the best quality stuff that I do treat myself sometimes too. In my area (East London), it is in the independent pound shops rather than poundland/99p stores and it dissappears quickly cos reckon everyone's on to it. Grab it while you can!
