    yeah, that will be a standard bank loan - it won't have anything special to make it nicer for students in terms of repayments. all of that is done by the SLC....

    .blue - you can get your student loan paid into a standard bank account, but if there's any chance you'll use an overdraft facility, a student account is almost always the best option as it will be interest free and the total interest free amount allowed will be reduced over about 3 years after you graduate. often well worth it.
