...of the consumer credit act ....
I've made a claim with my credit card company after a firm (2leftfeet!) went into administration. No orders are expected to be filled, nor monies returned.
My card company has written to me stating ....
"We have arranged the amount to be refunded to your account as the charge has been returned to the merchants bank. ???????
If your claim is unsuccessful, we will contact you again which may result in the transaction being re-debited from you account." ??????
Huh! - I thought the Credit Card company was equally liable for a failed transaction - why, therefore, make the threat that they could charge me again?

Could it just be a standard letter which is used? It may also be because there is a chance, however unlikely, that you might still be able to get a refund form the firm that went into administration.0

The indication given by the Administrators on the web site is that it is not likely that there will be anything for customers.
You may be correct in that it could be a 'standard' letter phrase....0
