Hi guys popped into town this afternoon before work and bought a game from gamestation called shadow hearts for the ps2, got home from work 11.30pm opened the security tag off the edge of the game and no disks in the box. game cost £12.99p

im going to phone gamestation up tommorow but im worried they will think im scamming them when it has probably either been there error or somebody has not checked the game is in the box and just whacked a security tag on the game just after its been traded in, any tips on this matter, i forgot to check after i had just the bought the game as was in a rush so now need to wait till next week when i plan to go back into town.

any help appreciated

    oooh, tricky one!
We had this problem with Game once on a preowned game. Went back and got them to check the drawer to see if there was a game in there that had no corresponding box - luckily there was!

Now I always get the salesman to open and check the game is there, before I leave the shop

Was it new or second hand?

As bottumsup says they may well have the disc behind the counter.

I used to work for a retailer that sold dvds, games cds etc. Quite often we would receive sealed items that had no discs in - probably down to a glitch somewhere in the maufacturing/packaging process. The staff are probably quite used to this happening, take the box back in and see what they say.

I bought a CD from HMV one year and got it home to find there was no disc in the box. I took it straight back and the sales guy said that the disc had probably been taken out to be used in the Listening Points that HMV used to have. I got my disc, no problem. Phone them ASAP.

If it's preowned (and being a PS2 game it likely is), then the discs will be kept behind the counter, meaning that mistakes are possible. It may also have been sealed in advance, though irrespective if it is a pre owned game it will have had to have been processed when it was traded in, and mistakes are possible in that process.
