help on downloading

Hi all, need some help here, me and my friends dont have the best of, or the fastest of internet connections and any programs etc which we want to download take an age for us all.. my question is.. is there any way to download a piece of software from the internet directly to an online storage rather than us all downloading the same thing. it doesnt have to stay there for long, just long enough for us all to get it :)

so come on guys, i really need your help.. ty:D

    Well it would have transfer to the "online storage", and then you'd all have to download it from there anyway.

    You would just be adding a step, and it would take longer.

    How are you all going to download it from the online storage?

    All you would be doing is copying it from one online location to another.

    why doesn't one person download it and burn it to disk?

    If you do want to put it somewhere online, use Gmail (but you will all stilll need to download it)

    what you need to do, is one person download it, onto their computer, then they drag and drop it into a shared folder on their computer, which everyone else has access to.

    Then everyone can just drag it via the Local Network, onto their machines if they need it..

    As everyone else has said, having it still "online" still means you're downloading it from one location, to another, then to download again, which is 100% pointless!
