I have a mp3 file with about 2hours and 10 minutes of music. I know it will not fit onto 1 700mb cd so how do I go about splitting the file so that it will fit onto 2 or 3 cds ?

There are lots of freeware out there that'll do the job.
Audacity is a popular choice, but I like mp3DirectCut. Just Google them.
Edit - Wow posting frenzy.

This one is free and I found it really simple, probably a little easier than audacity but nowhere near the same amount of features of course.

Why not put it onto a dvd?GOOGLE it before you ask, you'll often save yourself a lot of time.

mp3DirectCut has produced the required results. I converted the file to mp3 and have split the file ready to burn onto 2 cds. Very good software
Thanks everybody0
