West End Theatre and dinner tickets

Options
Has anyone bought this sort of ticket? They seem to be on sale thro various sites at a cheaper price than a ticket on its own.

Logically if it seems too good to be true it usually is- so whats the catch?

Only catch if I remember rightly is you get something like a 6pm dinner reservation and the show starts at 7:30pm.
Sent my mum and dad on one a few years back.
Im online now looking at the Thriller dinner package but Id rather try and get a decent Oliver dinner package.

Watch out for extra charges for drinks - that can often bump the cost up a lot. Sometimes you can get a better deal yourself. Lots of restaurants around the theatres do special theatre menus which are good value. And then there are some great little places like Bistro 1 (which have 4 branches in the West End) who do a great fixed price menu all the time.
Yeah, whatever. I'm a grown up, I can take it...

So far so good then. Its 1 adult and 2 children going so drinks shouldnt be a problem.

It is a 6.30 meal and 8pm show so no time for messing about.

I'm a bit concerned we might be behind a pillar because its cheap!

I have used this quite a few times through lastminute.com. if you go for the cheap £20 deals the ticket will be a balcony or cheaper seat (views normally still good though) if its restricted then they will tell you. i find that if you go during the week normally mon-wed on a queiter show you tend to be upgraded to better seats as they close the upper areas if its not busy.

    Thanks Kt.

Its half term week so I doubt the weekdays will be that quiet but Jerry Springer is joining the cast the following week so I guess some people will wait - or will they?

    Who knows!

Anyway i'm going to take the plunge and book.

    Thanks all
