Store cards?

in Credit cards
Is there any which are easy to get (with decent clothes
;)) with a default on file?
I've just been accepted for Capital One and Vanquis and waiting for Aqua's response... Would leave it 3 months or so to apply...
What about Littlewoods/Empire or Next? Do they accepted adverse data on files?
Small credit limit would be great as I know you can pay things interest free over 3 months with Littlewoods...

Is the default on both Experian and Equifax reports?

I've only checked on CreditExpert, so Experian... Will check it again in 3 months I think.
On my search list I have two by CreditExpert, they don't count against me do they? Also one by Churchill and one by Admiral which is cheeky as they could only have been car insurance quotes and I've never gone with them.0 -

Thanks - do you mind me asking what adverse history you have as I see you have an account with Littlewoods?0 -

It'd be a good idea to check Equifax aswell.
The CreditExpert searches do not count as credit searches and neither do the insurance ones. They are only visible to you.

Ah thanks. I think I only have 3 searches on my last file then, and they come off in June, July and November. I will have 3 more tho from Vanquis, Cap 1 and Aqua to add though.
I will try and hold off and wait but ideally I'd like the Littlewoods card... Has anyone else got one of these with a default?0 -

The default is on Equifax as well, but they also hold some more information on older accounts that Experian didn't
These are due to come off in June.
Does Littlewoods use both to check you out?
I think I'd be better waiting until the end of the year when quite a few of my old accounts come off as they show arrangements to pay and late payments :mad:0 -

Why do you want to have a wallet full of ‘Mickey Mouse Cards’?
By all means, have one sub-prime card and one store card, but not more Run those well for a year or and then apply to a main-stream lender. Having a full deck of store cards will only count against you as someone who applies for credit willy-nilly.
Re-building credit cannot be done short term. It’s not the quantity that counts, it’s the quality.0 -
Well I didn't think I'd get the Capital One card to be honest, but after applying for the Vanquis I thought I may as well try it as they have an online payment area. I probably won't be accepted with Aqua anyway.
I don't see how it could count against me as surely the more accounts I have with green 0's can't harm my credit score? I am only planning on using the Vanquis (and Aqua, if I get it) for a year then closing. That's very small payments paid off in full each month. I will probably keep the Capital One card as it has a larger limit.
I have a default so I am not going to be able to get a decent credit card or loan for years, decent meaning 0%, so I'll just have to accept that and try my best to rebuild it. After the default is settled (can't afford it just now) and maybe a few years time, then I can try for a mainstream card.
I appreciate what you're saying but it's a bit late for me now, as I've already appliedI won't bother applying for Littlewoods, I can always get something with a card then pay it off in full or 2 lots in the interest free period.
