can you embed youtube/BBC videos on this site?

no, don't think so, but I havn't really tried. You could try copying the embedd code from the Youtube vid into a thread if you wanted to see if it works...

There would be all sorts of copyright issues, so it looks as if it has been disabled.

I don't think there would be any copyright issues are the files wouldn't be hosted here.

It wouldn't be any different to posting a link to YouTube, only you won't need to visit YouTube.com in another tab/window to play the video.

ok, i want to describe how you may be able to do it hear without embedding a youtube vid myself. so here we go.
in a post put

. make sure there are no spaces.

Take a look down the bottom left of this page. It says that HTML is off. This would need to be enabled by the board admin for embedded YouTube videos to work.

I admin a board for an association committee I'm a member of (it's a private board for those of us on the committee - saves the email inbox!) We wanted to embed a YouTube video we had made on the board but to do so I had to enable HMTL (it was disabled by default).

I think HTML tends to be disabled on boards as it can be abused by pranksters (can't think of an example but I'm sure someone could give one).

I say all this. Someone will go and embed one now ;-)
