It is classed as a 'search', but it can't be seen by other lenders.
It can only be seen by yourself and the Credit Reference Agency.0 -
thanks for the responses, one further thing - with the free experian trial, i.e. sign up, receive your report and then cancel, can you only do this once, or any number of times?0

Only once, but then you can always try phoning them up again a while later and asking for another trial. They will delete your previous application allowing you to reapply if successful. A couple of people on here managed this.0
