Successful PPI Claim from Egg

Just thought I'd let everybody know that following a few letters and emails I've now had a full refund of my PPI from EGG. I had a loan with them which was topped up a year later, I paid 2 lots of PPI and thought I'd try to get it back.
Basically my argumant was quite simple, I clearly remember the sales person on the phone telling me that I'd have a better chance of getting the loan i I took out PPI. I argued the point and after initially being turned down Egg changed their mind and refunded me.
My loan now ends in November 2008 instead of May 2009, I also received a cheque for 175 quid for the PPI from the loan that was topped up.
Just thought I'd share a success story.

I suggest you check that they have paid you the correct amount. I have had to go through the FOS and they upheld my complaint against Egg, but Egg have only paid for 2 out of the 3 loans/PPI amounts.
So, far the FOS have spent over a month trying to get Egg to sort their error, and have even had Egg asking them how to calculate the redress! I managed to calculate the figures, and the guy at the FOS has agreed them - think Egg need a new calculator.0
