credit card protection query

in Credit cards
i have just paid for a sound system from a website online, i checked reviews to see that this company is reliable and on the whole they seem fine. when i read down on some reviews some people have commented that this company have poor customer service and so if they are any problems with the order (either it doesnt work or is not as described) some people have reported that the company is not interesteed in resolving the problem.
Seeing as my sound system costs more than £100 I understand I am covered by the credit card company if the item is not satisfactory. I wanted to ask if there is a time limit by which a person must make a claim against a product bought. This is importan because I will not be at my home address until a month's time. also is there any other information I should bear in mind, or advice from anyone who has unfortunately had to make a claim to the credit card company in the past for a product that wouldn't work or was as described? many thanks, Alex
