Does anyone have any idea if the Shell Mastercard for Citi is a good rebate card to go for?

Spend £760 per month on shell fuel and other expendature (£130 fuel and £600 other) and get £10.80 rebate per month. (Info from T&C's)

They seem to have taken online application down does anyone know why? flyres are still in service stations so if is worth going for need to phone.

Works for me but the credit limit is rubbish (£750, now £1000) which means it is of little use other than for petrol.

    thanks for the reply realaledrinker.

How does the rebate work is it cash or fuel vouchers? do you think it is worth going for if someone puts in between £160 - £200 fuel a month?

also how did you apply was it phone? Is it UK call centres?

Mine is £6k which is complete overkill since I do only use it to pay for fuel.

3% cashback on all Shell UK fuel purchases. 1% on everything else. Cashback is deducted from fuel purchases in the following month(s).

Is this one of the best cashback cards to go for?

when do you get the cash back? (every 3 months etc)

how did you apply? is it UK call cantre?

    1. If you are near a competitive shell forecourt 3% is a good deal. 1% off everything else is the best you will do, if you exclude introductory offers from Amex etc.
    2. The cashback earned in one month is discounted from your Shell fuel spend the next:for example you spend £500 on groceries and £200 on fuel in month one. This gives you a credit of £5 plus £6 respectively, totalling £11. Next month's statement will be discounted by £11, as long as you spend more than £11 on fuel.
    3. I applied online. Call centre a bit of a nightmare, but you can avoid using it!!

I think they're withdrawing this card (hence why you can't apply online for it any more).

I thought they withdrew them all? All you can apply for now is the Gold card one (I already have that card and recently applied for their platinum card and got letter saying it had been withdrawn from product list!)

I'd like one of these - getting a company car next month and want to make the most of my fuel purchases as I have to pay for it and claim it back.

This has now been closed to new customers. If you are after cashback go for Amex - you'll get 5% for the 1st 3 month and then a tiered rate.

Thanks TD but sadly I already have the AMEX and can't find anything else that I can reap the rewards from!
