Hi all,

i'm trying to create a website for my wife's new business and i'm struggling.
I have a background image (which is her company's logo and some text) and i'd like to have that always sat in the middle of the browser with a white border all the way around it..
ontop of that i'd like to overlay some text and some further pictures across the middle and have a row of links ("News, Contact us, More info etc) above them.

can anyone help with any ideas.??
ie software that is click and drag etc...

You could use Dreamweaver, but that is quite complicated for a simple task like this. If you buy a package from 1&1, you get a free 'app' called Website Builder (catchy, eh!) which is pretty much 'click and drag'. Their rates are also very good too.

i used webpage maker which is cheap and is a drag and drop easy peasy bit of software which is great for those not in te html know.

i have 2 sites made through this which after some work now rank in top 5 for keywords in google.

i always try those with free trial then i bought the ones i like from ebay to save money.

If you're looking to build a site from scratch using web coding have a look at http://www.w3schools.com/ they have excellent guides. If you're looking for a WYSIWYG program have a look at Kompozer (http://kompozer.net/) which is free and very easy to use. Short of spending a LOT of money on Dreamweaver you can't go far wrong

PM me your website URL and what you have done so far. If it is a straight forward site I may mock you up an example that you can then use for nowt.
