where to get old fashioned ''green soap''

my mom and various other people have mentioned in the 70s and before people used to use something called ''green soap'' for their hair, face, everything, i dont know if it had a make, can someone tell me what it is and can you still buy it? im told it makes your hair shine like anything?

The soap you mention is the traditional Fairy Houshold Soap and is still on sale but not as popular as in days gone by .
I last saw some in Tescos , try larger stores or a local general hardware shop .

I get my fairy soap from Asda , its with the stain removing bits and bobs, it's incredible when rubbed wet on grease stains on clothes.... have tried all sorts and nothing beats it.0
