Sheffield to Stansted Airport
Right, im just planning how Im gonna do this trip.
I fly at 8am in the morning, mid week, so need to be at the airport by 7am latest, pref eariler.
I can only use public transport (I dont have a car). As far as I can see the only option I have is to go down the day before and stop at a hotel at the airport.
The most direct way of getting to and from there:
Midland Mainline to central London - £12 return (any codes?)
Stansted Express - £15 return (half price via baa worldpoints)
Hotel - £80 (onsite hotel)
Is there something Im missing, can I get a train elsewhere, where I can get a coach or something else rather than going down to london and back again?

ahh it seems I can go to stansted direct from Sheffield via the train. 2 train changes though. But it takes just under 4hrs, where as if I got train to london 3hrs, stansted express 1hr, etc.
Trip will only cost me £41 return!
