Hi there,
I am just about to phone up to get the free bt connection deal. But i am wanting to take a package with broadband as well. I currently have cable broadband so i am really new at this. If i get bt home hub does it mean that the phone will be engaged when i am online?

No, if you get ADSL broadband on a standard 'BT-type' line, the BB is carried on the same pair of wires as the voice telephone but that does not prevent them being used at the same time. No. The line is shared with phone and data passing via the same wires. Clever eh?
