Accidentally cancelled BT account?

Yesterday I phoned up BT and cancelled an account - I thought it was an old line that is unused. I found out today that it is in use for broadband and I definitely do not want to cancel. Will BT will let me reverse my decision to cancel?

If they do not it will cause all sorts of hassle.

Thanks - help appreciated.

They probably haven't even processed it yet-why don't you call them ASAP and find out?

Thanks - I'm at work though and have just found out. Won't be able to call them until this evening.

If I were you I would take a coffee break and call them ASAP. If they do put it through then you'd be looking at a possible cancellation charge (if you are still in contract) and then a reconnection charge. And you might lose the number.
