Abbey Text Message

Hi all,
I've just recently got my Abbey CC through,, this morning I recieved a text message from Abbey (I think!) asking me to call a number to inform them whether the card has arrived safely.
I find this a bit bizarre, as I've already called the number that was stuck to the front of the card in order to activate it... are they just going to try and sell me something I don't need?
Is this a requirement? Has anyone else seen/done this?
Cheers,
Skeem

If you are worried about phoning the number then call the number for Customer Services so you know you are phoning the right place.
I had a text from Halifax last week, asking me to sign and return the forms (which I'd already done).0 -
Having just spoken to Abbey customer services, they say they NEVER ask you via SMS text or email to phone them to confirm any personal details, so suffice to say this seems a bit dodgy.
The number for reference is: 08456038750
DO NOT ring this number to confirm any details.

Checking on saynoto0870 actually brings this number up as an Abbey phone number0
