Could be good news for Tiscali users who have been complaining about the service?

..........or not, if you check out the experiences of customers of Carphone Warehouse's other ISPs:

Well I'm with AOL and I don't have any problems.A problem shared is a problem multiplied.

I'm also with Tiscali and no problems. Before that I was with TalkTalk - now don't get me started ! The absolute worst company I've ever had the misfortune to deal with. "Incompetent" doesn't even come close.0

I've luckily never had problems with Tiscali either, no experience of CPW other than buying an iphone from them, so will have to wait and see, I guess..4 May 2010

Four years with Tiscali and never a problem. Now I shall no doubt be inundated with offers for "free phones" "free minutes" and I wouldn't be surprised if unlimited downloads is phased out in favour of capping.0

2 years with Tiscali (Broadband & Phone), absolutely no problems.
Hope Talk Talk are as good!0 -
I just wonder if I will keep my free international calls / unlimited BB / Free A/T calls as TT have stopped their free Int calls to new customers and expired min term, they have a 40GB limit and it costs more for the A/T package (booster)
Some news on Pc Pro http://www.pcpro.co.uk/news/252548/carphone-warehouse-buys-tiscali.html
Carphone chief executive Charles Dunstone has told the BBC that the combined company will eventually have a single brand, although Tiscali email addresses will be preserved.
"Within 24 months, it is expected that over 80% of the enlarged TalkTalk Group will be on a single, unbundled network, and this will produce significant savings."
Tiscali's customers will also be moved on to Carphone's billing platform over the next two years, helping the company achieve claimed savings of up to £50m by 2011.0 -
Thing is you only find out how bad (or good but more often than not bad) a company is when it goes wrong.
Tiscali are as rubbish from my recent experience (I am not a customer of theirs but am helping someone who is) and Carphone are no better from my other experiences.I started with nothing and I am proud to say I still have most of it left.0 -
I'm with Talktalk now. Have to say, customer service isn't great, but all the outages I've had in 18 months you could count on 1 hand.Northern Ireland club member No 382 :j0
