I am rather tempted to copy sans and do some wombling for some tesco receipts!! Am very pleased as i can now use tesco clubcard tokens for my birthday treat my mum was going to pay for. It means i can put the money that would have paid for the canoeing, towards my bird of prey day instead. I love tesco clubcard deals!!

sounds like a nice idea with regards to using up tesco clubcard deals, family is important.

I know what you mean and great about them now being for your birthday treat - your trips sound amazing!!
the man at the supermarket last week left his at the checkout so I picked it up

I felt so incredibly naughty - but he wasn' t bothered :0

Trip is to take Darwin (VW camper) to France to drop kids at their dads - so its sort of a holiday but more to be able to see where they are in France when they go to visit Dad - I wont be allowed near the place (its tricky to say the least) but we all want the adventure so we are going to do it either way even if I can't see where they stay I will see the nearest village. Its important to us all (me and kids) that I see where they are so I can relate to their trips more

That probably sounds really daft :)

Doesn't sound strange at all - it's nice that your kids want you to be involved (as much as you can). I am really keen to go to back to France soon - my best friend lives there and am missing her like mad. Such a nice country and you can have some fun too!

As someone who works with children i can relate to how significant and important it is and how much they go on about that in child care.

My mum came to visit me for the first time since i left home eight years agon and finally she knows about the places i always talk about and where i live and what my house looks like. It's been important for me to know that as this way she is sharing a part of my life with me that previously she hasn't been able to access.

Edits in a Happy birthday - to SM :) wasn't me honest guv some little chookie let it slip :)

    Thanks guys :)

How is it you get it but my Ex is furious that I am even contemplating it ? After 10 years you would think he might at least have the decency to let me drop them off (he always insists they fly unaccompanied) shan't ask for a cup of tea when I am in the same country - dont think it would go down too well. :)

Feel better now - we three share so much - I do find it odd they go and I just feel exiled from them and the experiences (sorry if sounds like a moan), none of us like the distance much but Dad is very very important too for them especially.

Ta for the support for my ramblings.......hopefully eurostar here we come :)

Urg I hope you get back soon - we are going to liimoges....:)

    Off to bedfordshire now :)

If its any concelation my mum is not allowed to speak to my dad whilst my step mum is around despite the fact my dad left my mum for my step mum twenty years ago. when my dad has come to visit he would sit in the car and wait for us to come out to him and not knock on the door incase my step mum found out!! Some situations are a little crazy!

I am here a bit lost as well. I hope this means that SM has been showered with lots of pampering and pressies and that she is too busy to start the thread. :p
