You are the one being messed about, and if the broker has nothing to hide then he will be more than happy to speak with you.

Had a thought, is it possible that they are trying to get a condition to repay and loan or similar removed? Or is it possible that the buyer is not going to achieve simoultaneous completion?
If it has been offered on a product with Early Repayment Charges when they were looking for one without, I would not think that would delay exchange as change of product is simple (although it may cost the buyer) and most solicitors would be happy to exchange on the existing offer (unless completion is very soon after).
I'll have a bet on the offer having conditioned the repayment of a loan and the solicitor wanting confirmation that the condition can be removed before exchange.

hope your right. im phoning my solicitor in a min and going to see what he can do but i know he will turn round and say well thats really the EA job to ask his broker, but they have done, trying to get a EA to ask the right questions is a task far more harder than i could ever imajineYou're not drunk if you can lie on the floor without holding on0
