No way of knowing really robwend without having the offer in front of me. They vary so much and from lender to lender.
If it is a redemption clause specific to the selected product then in cannot simply be removed, the buyer must select a new product without such a clause.
However as I said, impossible to say any more really.
Sorry for not being much help.
Dont suppose you know which lender it is?

What sort of 'broker' is this?
If someone signs an agreement which includes a redemption penalty there isn't much a 'broker' can do about it apart from pray or stick pins in his/her Voodoo doll.If you don't know what you are talking about keep quiet0 -
like andy says hun ive no idea if its that, all i was told is that we are waitin for exchange because buyer has a clause on his redeem that has to be taken off... talkin gobbledee gook to meYou're not drunk if you can lie on the floor without holding on0

Without sounding harsh It sounds like the broker may have cocked up here.
Again though it's impossible to really tell, just a gut feeling

Do it. I would. Also see if you can get the number of his broker and call him yourself.
