Right to buy council house

Hi, I purchased our council house 2 years ago along with my Mom and Step dad. Due to council laws all 3 of us have to be on the mortgage, but after 3 years (I think) the property can be transfered solely into my name.
After the property has been transfered into my name can I become a landlord and obtain rent from the social for my Mom and Stepdad who are both claiming income (my mom is 66 and stepdad is 59) ?

    If your mum & dad bought the house with you, why would you want to charge them rent? If end result is that they are going to be paying rent, what was the purpose of buying the property?

    If the only reason all 3 of you are on the mortgage is so you could take advantage of their right to buy then they may have trouble claiming HB to pay you rent. The DWP & local authority have rules about renting from close relatives & may consider it a contrived tenancy.
