MP4 to MP3

Hi,

I have downloaded music on itunes and want to play them on my phone.

My phone plays mp3s but not mp4s, anyone know how to convert mp4 to mp3??

can't say for sure but you might have trouble doing anything like that with itunes songs - read somewhere that they are protected ('.m4p' file extension iirc. '.m4a' is the unprotected one - again iirc) if the above is correct then i suspect you'll have to work harder to find a prog that will be able to convert them - dbpoweramp won't work for example.

I use IMToo WMA-MP3 convertor. Again, not free, but the trial version doe allow you unlimited conversions, as long as you do them in batches of no more than five.

Despite the name, it does deal with MP4 and AAC.

Can't you burn them to a CD and then re-rip them as MP3's in Windows Media player or WinAmp ? I downloaded an album from iTunes and did this - it worked fine for me and they are m4p's.
