moving banks - problems with Account Transfer Service!

Hi
I'm after a bit of advice here, in mid march i moved my main current account from Halifax to Barclays and took advantage of the account transfer service. I received the form from barclays with all of my dd's and standing orders, checked it was correct (which it was) and then left it as the form said i only had to contact barclays if anything was incorrect or missing.
Anyway, these were sent to barclays on the 15th April, so i thought everything was set up for my payments to come out as normal on the 1st May. Well, for some reason three of my payments (to date, could be more yet!) have not come out of my account, these being my mortgage, my car finance and my electric. I phoned my mortgage company and they advised that the payment will be late, a late marker will be placed on my credit file:mad: however this will be removed if i can get proof from the bank that it was due to a problem with the account transfer service........i am also worried that this late payment might have implications on my mortgage interest?!?
My car finance company advised that i will be charged £30 for a bounced payment, which i have paid (now regret paying) and will send a letter to me advising me of this so i can claim it back from the bank.
Now, i've been in touch with barclays who have told me to come into the branch on friday to sort this out. They have also advised me that they will reimburse all costs (and write a letter to mortgage company) if the bank has been in error for this !!!!-up
But, i've checked my online banking and it appears that all of my dd's and standing orders at barclays were set up to go out but for some reason they never went! Both the mortgage company (Chelsea BS) and car finance company said the details they held was for my old account and not barclays...................my question is this, is it the new account or the old account that informs the companies of the change? Or could the companies have ignored the request to change?
My fear is that they all point the finger at each other and i'm left with a £30 charge and a blemish on my perfect credit file that i cant get rid of...............any advice on how to proceed would be grateful
thanks

It's the responsibility of the bank organising the transfer (in your case Barclays) to sort things out.0
