If cards have been unused for a number of years, is there any need to terminate the contract or can the card just be destroyed? Similar question, if a bank account has been sat dormant for a few years does it need to be closed?

All account require you to close them..... You will offically be liable for any debt accrued unless you terminate your contract with the lendersIf cards have been unused for a number of years, is there any need to terminate the contract or can the card just be destroyed? Credit Cards - Barclaycard £2000 - Silver Card £1300 - Flybe £7500 - HSBC £1000 - First Direct £2500 First Direct Gold £3000
6 credit accounts closed in 2010!

bank account - leave it open.
store card/credit card- i would close them as that reduces your total debt, plus not using active credit could mean you r not going to be profitable to some lenders as a new customer.
and remember, once an account is closed, you can always open a new account and get the best offers mate0
