Halifax Deposit Abroad

Hi,
I have a Halifax account and my OH is going to deposit some money in the account tomorrow, however it's at a branch in southern Ireland.

Will the money still go in straight away as with a UK branch?

Thanks

    No.

    Completely different systems AND currencies.

You will almost certainly need to provide him with all the SWIFT details from the top right hand corner of your statements. He should then be able to arrange a transfer, but expect it to take a couple of days and I would anticipate a fee too.
