Problem logging onto Hotmail

I've been having problems logging onto my hotmail email account. I can get onto the page where I enter my email and password but then it times out. I have a PC and Mac in the house and it happens on both systems.

I've tried google to see if there's a general problem for all users but can't see anything.

Anyone having the same problem or words of wisdom?

Have you found similar problems with any other sites where you need to log in? Internet banking, Ebay for instance?

I have been in and out of ebay all day and have just logged into my online banking account. Both are fine.

In that case, GLLT, I suspect hotmail....... not much help. Let me try and log into my Hotmail just to see if there's anything about server problems.

Hmm. Well that's no help - mine's fine.

I'm utterly baffled. Nothing on the internet to suggest others are having problems, you're able to access other secure sites easily.

Sorry, but I admit defeat here and now.

Anyone else reading this can help GLLT further please?

Someone has been trying to access your hotmail account, they have entered an invalid password more than 3 times and hotmail has locked the account for 24 hours, leave it 4 or 5 hours and try once again if not then you will have to leave it 24 hours then you will be fine, as long as this person doesn't keep trying to get into your account,, any ideas who would do that?

No! Can't think of anyone who would want to gain access to my lil ole email account. It just times out and gives the "page cannot be displayed" chesnut. If that's the case am hoping all will be well tomorrow. Have you had the same thing happen to you Rosco?

well there could be hundereds of reasons its not working, I never got page cannot be displayed I just got a repeated message saying invalid email address or password. I bet it will be fine tomorrow morning, it's deff not a long term thing
