in Credit cards
not sure if anyone can help, 12 months ago we brought a flight using our barclay card. 3months Later the Airline went bust! because we paid by Barclay the airline told us to go to them, well we are still trying to get our payment back, barclay's are dragging their feet, and so what I am thought would cover us and protect us, has not. Do credit cards cover this?

Hi,
Martin deals with this on the home page - on the right side look for Section 75. If you paid over £100.00 on the transaction they must take responsibility but you have to go to the vendor first - may not be the Airline, could be the travel agent. But I'm quoting from memory have a look at Martin's article.
Good luck - hope you get your refund soon.0 -
Section 75 only covers when you pay the airline direct. Which is what i am reading that you did, so i dont know why they are dragging their heels.
It does not cover you for paying a third party. So if yu have paid the travel agent for the flight youre stuffed, make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0
