No since you can't use the internet banking on the RBS site when your a NatWest customer, so you wouldn't be able to pay things in with the RBS to your Natwest account and visa versa. Good thinking though0

Ah, nuts. Oh well, it was worth a try.0

I've paid in money at an RBS branch to go to my Natwest account before. They accept it since I'm still an RBS customer through Natwest. The only downside is that they are both still separate banks, so it took 3 days for the money to clear into my Natwest account.0

Yes RBS can use NatWest branches, but only to pay in and using a pre printed credit (ie using a paying in book).
Hope This Helps, they systems may combined at one point!0 -
As has been stated you can pay in as long as you have pre printed credit and it goes through clearing. Also might be worth noting you can cash a cheque with guarantee card upto the card limit.0

Do they charge for this?
And obviously this is unlike the Halifax / BoS system when each bank's customers can use each other's internet banking and, I believe, use each other's branches.0 -
no charges.0

Correct, RBS personal customers (and also One Account and Ulster Bank) customers can pay in funds into Natwest branches free of charge provided they have a paying in slip however cash deposits will appear overnight rather than straight away - I am a Natwest manager.0
