Reading the threads some people say they use theirs everyday, I want to make the most of it so wondered what do you use your for?

I love my kenwood chef!
I do use it most days - making bread, blending soups, making pastry, rubbing in, making cakes, mashing veg, whisking eggwhites/dressings, making batters etc, making pizza dough
Can't think of more at the moment but I'm sure someone will be along shortly to add to the list!

My kitchenaid is great for bread. I use it for cakes too, but a lot less often than I used too!0

I own a "Bad Boy" Kitchen Aid (one of these http://www.hobartcorp.com/hobartg5/pr/n50.nsf/pages/features ) it is used for bread dough every other day, pizza dough for freezing, cakes and scones, slicing, chopping, grating, mincing, sausage stuffing and mixing my soap powder with soda! :idea: - I wouldn't be without it. I have been toying with the idea of buying a kitchenaid mixer for a while now, but I don't know which would be the most use - the mixer or the kitchenaid food processor. I don't really make any bread, but I do make cakes. What is the main difference in their uses?Jane

Hi,
we have the kitchenaid mixer - and have had for the past 4 years. It is without doubt one of our best investments. It lives on our worktop and is used many, many times a week.
Fab for making mashed potato - smooth as you like, and no lumps!
cakes, batters, bread dough, pizza dough, meringues, all an absolute breeze.
Mixer is fab, as the bowl is round - very easy to clean too!!

I just got an old Kenwood on ebay!
Have been looking at them for a while but didn't have the wherewithal for a new one, also heard that they (new ones that is) are not as sturdy as the old Kenwoods so am very happy! Paid £50 but that is including p&p.

And it has a liquidiser so can chuck out my old faithful moulinex blender (the grinder died a death just before xmas and I am sure I was going to electrocute myself as kept getting shocks from plug after I took it out of socket!
Anyway back to the topic in hand - I will be using mine for bread, cakes, meringues, yorkies, pastry - and anything else I can!
But I will NOT be using it for muffins however as these are best mixed (a few stirs only!!!) by hand - anyone who has tried and failed with muffins please note!!
The reason I say this is because several people have asked me why their muffins don't turn out like mine and then say that they mixed them really well with their electric whisk/mixer whatever :eek: _pale_
Sorry for digressing there!
Can't wait for it to arrive now!

I have a kitchenaid mixer and a kitchenaid blender i would not be without either.
I use both everyday.
The mixer for cake, cookies, bread, whipping cream and egg whites, making butter.
The Blender for smoothies, slimfast, soup. I got this for baby food making told hubby it was the one that made the food the smoothest. LOL0 -
