Most likely an attempt at phishing. Do not click on any links in the email. Forward it to spoof@paypal.com and let them deal with it, then delete.

I have had 3 fake emails in the last few days claiming that my account is about to be suspended due to failed log in attempts. Which is complete rubbish.

I'd log into my Paypal account directly, NOT via the link, if there is a problem there will be an alert on your account.

The clue is in the first sentence, when PayPal do email you then they ALWAYS use your name - not "Dear PayPal customer".

Paypal will always place a notification on your account if they send you a security email.

Never click on links, even if you think it is paypal sending the email, simply log out of your email and log into your paypal account directly from the paypal site. Then deal with any issues from there.

Just to back up what the others have said, I've had several of these emails in the last few days, but again, nothing is mentioned when logging into paypal. When you get a genuine email from paypal you will see that the way they word 'paypal' is different, ie, lower case and upper case letter used.

I also had one of these today, checked my paypal account and all transactions are correct, so sent it straight to their spoof address who confirmed it was a phishing email.
