Has egg stopped the anniversary 0% ? Can I find out when mine is due?

I've had an egg card for YONKS, and always used my 0% period for balance transfers.

Well I can't remember what month I first got my card, but I was sure it was first half of the year. But I've been waiting and waiting, it hasn't happened.

So either
a) Egg aren't doing it any more or
b) I'm getting older, and can't correctly remember when it should happen.

Can anyone enlighten me?
I try not to get too stressed out on the forum. I won't argue, i'll just leave a thread if you don't like what I say. :)

cifpower, having posted on here I suddenly realised that myself, and have just done so.

See, I must be getting old ;)

They told me it was for the first two anniversaries only. (Or, they only guaranteed it would be available for those.) I think they don't like reminding people about it in case they actually take up the offer.

You can get a copy of your credit agreement on the website (under "credit agreements" on your statement page, then select "view agreement".) The relevant date is that the bottom of that - the month is what's important.

    From the Egg Site:
    :
Our anniversary offer may have gone, but for those customers who applied between 1 January 2007 and 31 March 2009, it’s not forgotten.

    Happy anniversary

[*]For applications made between 2 January 2009 at 08:00 and 31 March 2009, you'll get our 0% offer again for up to five months on balances transferred in the anniversary month in 2011 and 2012.
[*]For applications made after 1 January 2008, you'll get our 0% offer again for up to five months on balances transferred in the anniversary month in 2010 and 2011.
[*]For applications made between 1 April 2007 and 31 December 2007, you'll get our 0% offer again for up to five months on balances transferred in the anniversary month in 2009 and 2010.

There is a handling fee of 2.5% of the amount of each balance transfer made under the anniversary offer.

Introductory or promotional rates are subject to you making your required monthly payments on time and keeping within your credit limit. If you fail to do so, we may charge the standard variable annual rate for the relevant transactions instead of the introductory or promotional rate.

From a stoozing point of view this was a modest deal as the 2.5% fee covered the borrowed money for only five months at best. The cost of borrowing on a per annum basis was around 6.8% and not 0% as advertised when all costs were taken into account.

Well they totally ignored my secure message (such good customer service), but todays post brought an offer of 4.9% until November. Which is a pretty poor offer seing as they charge 2.9% fee as well.

But I need a low deal, so might use it for a while.

      Tee'd off with them tho'

I doubt it's been ignored. The last time I sent a secure message it took nearly a week to get a reply.

Unfortunately Citi have got rid of a lot of staff after they took over... a reply within 24 hours is a thing of the past

The quality has gone downhill too. I knew somebody that worked at the Brierley Hill / Dudley office before they were all made redundant last year. All secure messages were dealt with there until not long before they were got rid of.

I can only guess the people that took over are in far fewer numbers and not as well trained. Or maybe I've just been unlucky with the replies I've received.
