I took out an HSBC credit card last year at 0% on all purchases. That runs out this june, which is fine - but after it runs out,am I right in thinking that I start making payments with the %apr ?? If I dont use it again - will it stay at 0% as Im not making any purchases - or do they put it up to the right amount ??

I had a letter telling me that the year of 0% on purchases runs out - but it didnt say, and while I dont mind sounding stupid - Id rather not ring them to find out in case they diddle me somehow!!!

HELP ???

After the 0% runs out the APR will revert to your standard rate on the whole balance whether you make any new purchases or not.

What Cif says is true. So if you want to avoid any interest, you need to clear the balance BEFORE the 0% deal runs out. Otherwise, you will indeed be liable for interest at whatever rate on the whole balance.
Got Halifax Classic to reduce my interest rate by 5% woohoo - 10/06/08 Thanks MSE!
    Another 3% shaved off 10/12/08
    ANOTHER 4 % June 09:beer:
