My local Tesco sells bread at 38p.
However, they reduce it to 28p at certain times.
The assistant didnt give me a time that they do it, she just said it was at "different times of the day".
Im just wondering does anyone know specifically what time they do that, so as i can be there at that time?

My local Tesco doesn't seem to discount stuff until after 8pm during the week and not until about 5:30pm on a Sunday.
Was in a Morrisons at just after 8am yesterday and they had lots of reduced bread, I assume from the night before0 -
Ok, well discounts all depend on what time the store closes. Here is what I've found. These are for my local stores in South London so I can't speak for everyone.
Morrisons (closes 9pm) discounts are throughout the day but the largest are between 8.30pm and 9pm. I got 3 packets of cod pieces reduced from £2.59 to 79p Bread is harder to get but i got ciabatta for 29p - from 79p.
Asda (mine's 24 hours) but the biggest discounts are between 7pm and 8.30pm where they reduce everything from pizza to meat to bread. Too many bargains to list.
Tesco - the same as Morrisons.
The thing to look out for is bread and milk and eggs that have a sell by date of today buy have a use by date several days later. I bought 2pints of milk in asda for 34p that lasted a week.

I work in one of the tescos and carry out reductions. Our stores policy is to reduce all items that are due to go out of date that date by 50% at 3pm and 80% at 6pm(store closes at 7pm). If there is lots of same item we would reduce to poss 90% at 6pm.
Hope this helps0 -
i went in my tesco express tonite and was told reductions are after 7 30m pm, i got muffins from £1.39 to 21p chelsea buns from 31.19 to 18p warburton buns 12 for 25p, got lots and all goin to the freezeri will be debt free, i will0
