Furniture not turning up.....................

Hi,
I ordered a dining table and six chairs costing just under £1000 from Lee Longlands furniture store, they gave me a 4 week delivery time, which has now past (5wks now), so I phoned the delivery section, who have just told me theres a lead time on her system of 10-12 weeks!!!!!!!!!!!!!! so I probably wont get it until june sometime........:mad::mad:
On top of that, they state on the invoice if delivery cannot be taken when "they" can deliver, there wll be storage charge!, I go on holiday in June!!!

Meanwhile I have got rid of my old table & chairs in preperation for my new set.

I have paid a deposit of £250, Where do I stand legally on cancelling/getting a refund.

I have phoned customer direct - all our lines are busy, (a real human being :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:) they took a message and will aim to get back to me in 24hrs.

Thanks in anticipation.

What does the contract state in relation to delivery times?

If you have a contract stating 4 weeks delivery you can cancel and have your deposit returned.

    Hi there,

It just states 4 weeks, but in the very very tiny print!
"the company cannot be held responsible for factors outside of their control".... BUT the delivery section, which is a different office stated that they had an original time lead of 10 - 12 weeks.

I don't know much about how to deal with the store I ordered it from when they start quoting T&C's though...
