Due to not yet having received ours, I'm getting a standard one for £1 tomorrow..... I have a season ticket so instead of it being £20 it's nice and cheap.
What's more, it can be used for just one person or upto 4 adults. No children needed!

I just successfully completed and submitted the form for the free family and friends railcard even though its a day after the offer expires, according to the website. A message came back thanking me and saying it would be with me asap. Fingers crossed I get one!

    Hi

As long as you buy a child ticket, even if under 5 years old, it should be ok as I have done it in the past.

I always get a ticket for my 18 month old cos it generally works out cheaper buying a ticket for him and using a family railcard than not buying a ticket for him! I've never been challenged by the ticket inspector over it. Also sometimes I upgrade to first class for a tenner at weekends and I've never been asked to pay a tenner for my baby even though I'm using my family railcard which by definition means I've bought him a ticket.
