Scheduled Listings

Hi,
I am noticing more and more of my listings not appearing in searches, or in the "view sellers other items" option, for quite a while after listing.
From what I know this is to try and prevent fraud on certain types of items etc etc.
But with the impact it may be having on items not being viewable for x amount of time (for instance one item in particular is the cheapest of its kind on ebay, but right now that irrelevant is you can't actually find it), I have looked into the possibility of scheduling listings.
I've never done this before, it looks easy enough, but other than manually searching each item how can i predict what needs scheduling and what doesn't, or do i just do the whole lot and soak up the expense ?
