Hello, could anyone tell me whether we should change from Goldfish who we have been with for some years to Morgan Stanley? We get cashback to spend in various shops, which has always come in very useful, half a per cent at present, but some time ago nearly changed to Morgan Stanley who had better offers, now Morgan Stanley have bought Goldfish!! Should we stay with Goldfish or close and open with Morgan Stanley or do they both offer the same now? Thank you oap

If Morgan Stanley give better cashback ditch and switch! 0.5% is OK but think there's a couple of cards that give 1%. Morgan Stanley might be one and think Amex Blue does as well.
2p off is still 2p off!

0.5% cashback is very low. There are better cashback cards, including Morgan Stanley. See Cashback link in the blue box above.

OK thanks very much for the replies, will have a look, but we are not big spenders, about 6000 a year approx, so long as we pay everything with credit card, ie house insurance, car insurance, petrol, phone etc, and you only seem to get good cashback if you spend a lot, but will have a good look at the link, thanks very much, oap

Morgan Stanley only pay 1% on the first 2K p.a then 0.5% thereafter. However you get "double" for the 1st 3 months, so 2% then 1% over 2K. So its only worth it for spending 2K in 3 months, then switch elsewhere, like Egg money which is a constant 1%.
