help car damaged not my fault,nightmare

i dont know if anyone can help,i was in liverpool parked my car,someone reversed into it,gave me his details royal sun alliance motability,anyway car is booked in to snowdon in paignton ,but the hire car is in newton abbot,now the hire car want to pick me up at paignton to go to newton abbot to sign the paper work,also want a driving licence debit card in my name which i dont have, and £50 deposit,now i have 2 children at skool dont have time to be messing about waiting around ,so i asked if the paper work could be brought to paignton and the car,for me too take away as i arrive,they said yes for £5.00 each way,and they want £50 cash deposit driving licence to prove who i am and insurance docs,and when i return the car i have to go through it all again,surely this isnt right im not the 1 in the wrong here but i have to do all the work,i should just be able to drop off my car ,and a courtesy car should be waiting for me,and vice versa when mine is repaired,and yes he is fully comp,so any advice would be great,

hiya thanks but it is the insurance who have to sort it out ,i dont think i can do it off my own back,but cheers.

Drive assist help out with providing hire cars to people who have an accident that isn't their fault. They provide you with a car and then claim it back from the other party's insurance. Of course they do some checks first.

Our insurance were taking an age to provide us with a hire car...so we used these people at the suggestion of the repairers. Once we had the car from drive assist we contacted the other hire car company and told them to get lost....also told our insurer's what we were doing and they were fine with it.

Up to you though of course.

Sorry but £5 delivery charge each way seems okay to me. You would be able to recover this from other guys insurance company.

Also, you would be somewhat naive to expect someone to hire you a car without a lot of form filling and ID checks. Just one of those hoops you will have to jump through I'm afraid.
