If you really want to impress her I would say take her to the marriott. It depends how you define cheap.
For one night in the Marriott at West india quays it will cost £100 including breakfast. The breakfast are amazing, just a buffett and have whatever you want.
Some people might say it is expensive, but you get great service and the rooms are lovelly. Well worth a look

alternatively, try a search on https://www.laterooms.com - many hotels discount here because of lots of availabilty at short notice - I know, 'cos I am a hotel manager and use it as part of our rooms strategy system at work! - good luck! - hope you get a trip booked with a good discount0

Depending on your girlfriend, if you really want to impress there is a 5* top secret deal on Last Minute for £99 (for a stay on Sat 1st April - Hotel is located in Mayfair - cant work out which one but to be honest 5* should be good no matter). There are loads of 4* on there - loads sub £100 but very few sub £60.
The Grange Hotel in Holburn (close to West End, also close to British Museum, closeish to very cheap for London indian restaurants on Drummond St nr Euston Station - open Sunday Lunch time) - 5* - Sat Night rate includes breakfast, £90 per room. This is on www.laterooms.com - you would pay almost this for an anonymous 4*.
Hilton are offering 1 night accommodation, breakfast, bottle of champagne, easter gift, dinner for 2 - from £169 at all hotels in London. Also check all there room rates - there are wild variations depending on how far ahead you book. www.hilton.co.uk
There are places that are a lot cheaper than this - easyhotel.com springs to mind or Travelodge or the plethora of hotels round bayswater or Paddington. But you are running the risk of it all being a bit grim (grey pillowcases are a guaranteed passion killer).
If you have to pay a bit more to be central dont forget you will save on travel costs. Try and get a deal that includes breakfast - or factor into the equation. (Marriot in India Quays is good as it includes breakfast ) Maybe work out what you want to do once in London - that may guide you to at least the area you want to stay in. (Late rooms and Lastminute.com include area filters).0 -
I don't think you can beat the Travelodge deals. A double room for £10 or £26 a night for the room - not each person.
We've always had helpful staff with excellent rooms with TV and tea making kit etc. Going again soon to Farringdon Travelodge, Kings Cross Road. Two nights for £36.
Search Travelodge here to see if they have any rooms. You don't stop laughing because you grow old, You grow old because you stop laughing" Large print giveth - small print taketh away. "0 -

I agree with this, but one hotel not on the search engine is Durrants in Mayfair. Worth checking out. Known as the poor mans Brown's (Albermerle Street and expensive). http://www.durrantshotel.co.uk/intro.html
Also Mostyn Hotel, Bryanston Street, Mayfair. http://book.bestwestern.com/bestwestern/productInfo.do?propertyCode=83611#null
For good value The Cumberland Hotel if you can get a double room for under £125 well worth it. Gary Rhodes Bistro RHODES W1 is in this hotel.
I always advise not taking the breakfast except on Sundays. Go to Fortnum & Masons Fountain Restaurant and enjoy a far superior breakfast but for the same price most hotels charge for a normal breakfast and the ambience is much nicer.0
