wifi

I have my main desktop pc with a broadband hub, i am wanting to connect a 2nd desktop pc to my broadband connection but my 2nd pc doesn't pick up wifi signals.
What do i need to buy to connect my 2nd pc??

    If it's near the router/hub then connect it directly with an Ethernet cable, this is faster and your PC probably has a Ethernet port, so a £2 standard Ethernet cable is all you need.

    Else if you can only connect it via wifi due to distance/location, then a wi-fi card (PCI usually, you have to open the case to install), or a wifi USB dongle would be ideal, just plug into a USB port, or on a short USB extension lead. Try www.dabs.com or www.scan.co.uk or www.amazon.co.uk for starters

    Assuming your router supports WiFi then a USB WiFi dongle would do the job or you could put a WiFi card inside the PC if you have a PCI slot free.
