Hey Vodka...I don't know how these things work either, exactly - but I know for sure it's not the dongle you want to send it to. You need to consider the dongle as part of the PC, and you need to ask it to send to phone.
I presume if a dongle supports this (they call it 'file pushing') then a) it would say on the box or in the instructions, and b) it would come with some software that would let you do this.
Do you have either of those?0 -
Ok - this may help. You need to pair your phone to your PC (I'd check your phone instructions for that), and then I'm led to believe if you have the right things on your PC, you should be able to right click on a file, then Send To... and select your Bluetooth phone...0

Is this the first time with the dongle? It will need to be installed, probably first run the CD that came with it.
Sorry if this isn't help and you've already done it.
I just looked at the Send to menu on mine and it is there - I didn't know this before0 -
Read the instructions for the dongle very carefully. Follow them exactly. If it is like the ones I have used, Microsoft automatically installs the wrong drivers.
Did you get software with the phone - Nokias come with a great Nokia PC Suite software - perhaps there is a simialr one for yours ?
If not, once the dongle is installed properly you should have an icon entitled " My bluetooth places" this will possibly be on the desktop or under All Programs and probably in My Computer too (at the bottom under other).
You should be able to work it out from there I hope.To infinity and beyond!0 -
Now you're reminding me - the one I got (Belkin) had a different install method for XP SP2, and this was only in the CD version of the instructions, not on the paper one.mike_paterson wrote:Read the instructions for the dongle very carefully. Thank you for replies, I have been away from pooter most of day!
well my mobile is paired with the dongle as i send pics to the pc through bluetooth, just cant figure how to get them from pooter to phone, i will re install the disc that came with it, i dont have the option in my send menu for bluetooth and thats what i need, ah well, i will keep at it, im not going to let this technical stuff get the better of me

If the two are talking, then you should be able to use windows explorer to explore the phone and then copy files as if it were a disk or flash storage device (which is pretty much what it is)To infinity and beyond!0

i imagine it is the same as the d500 basically. once the dongle is installed on your pc and in position (plugged into a usb port) open up the setting option on your phone, scroll to connectivity option and select bluetooth-my phones visibility. back to bluetooth-activation-on.
on your pc highlight a mp3 file by right clicking on the mouse, you should see the option of sending to bluetooth, click on this option and follow the instructions on the "wizard". as long as your pc is looking for a bluetooth device that is actively wanting to be seen they should "pair" and a link will be made.fatblokexl:EasterBun:0
