vehicle breakdown recovery

Can you help me? I need annual breakdown assistance/recovery/relay for my motorhome and the trailer I tow behind it. I have spent the last 5 days trying to get this cover without success. It was suggested to me that I try Red Pennant but cannot find any contact details for them on any search engine, does anyone out there have their details. any help you can give would so gratefully received. With thanks, dotti

Most companies exclude motorhome cover, as they don't always fit on the recovery operators loaders. I think a Google search may be your best bet, as withabox suggested.

One thing to bare in mind - trailers are normally only covered if the towing vehicle itself breaksdown. So if you got a flat type on the trailer, that wouldn't necessarily be covered. Just something to watch out for...

Have you asked the Insurance company who cover the motorhome, a lot of the companies that offer motorhome have a scheme for breakdown cover for their policy holders

Autoaid appear to cover motorised caravans up to 2.5 tons; -
The vehicle- car derived van, motorcycle or motorised caravan under 2.5 tons gross vehicle weight and with an engine capacity of no more than 2500 cc.– a saloon car, hatchback, estate car,

    Plus the trailer; -
Caravan and trailers- If your vehicle breaks down, we will also refund emergency labour charges for repairing or recovering a caravan or small trailer which is not more than 10 feet(3 metres) long, and is attached to the vehicle. We will only refund these costs if the caravan or small trailer is attached to the vehicle by a standard50 millimetre (2 inch) towing coupling.
We will refund the cost of repairing or recovering any caravan or small trailer which is properly attached to the vehicle.

Not bad for £37. a year, (pay and claim service).
